Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and detail‑oriented Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager to support the delivery of exceptional events at the five‑star Cashel Palace Hotel. Reporting to the Conference & Banqueting Manager, you will help ensure every conference, wedding and banquet meets the hotel’s high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and executing conferences, weddings and banqueting events.
• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, service delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Support daily operations and supervise the banqueting team under the guidance of the manager.
• Liaise with clients to capture requirements and ensure seamless event execution.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen, front office and other departments.
• Monitor staffing levels, create schedules and oversee training of team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hotel standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a conference, banqueting or events role within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
