Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at Sheen Falls Lodge, a 2‑Michelin‑Key hotel renowned for its hospitality excellence. The role supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering 5‑star service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, private events, room service, and afternoon tea.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Falls Restaurant, lounge, and private dining areas, ensuring friendly, efficient service.
• Manage staffing rosters, monitor occupancy and bookings, and adjust staffing levels as needed.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, including HACCP protocols, fridge temperature checks, and proper labeling of perishables.
• Control stock levels for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverage items, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Coach, train, and support team members, ensuring breaks are taken and performance standards are met.
• Handle guest interactions to guarantee satisfaction and resolve any service issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant operations within a luxury or 5‑star environment.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene legislation applicable to hospitality.

Required skills

• Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety procedures.
• Competence in stock and inventory management.
• Experience in scheduling and workforce planning.
