Assistant Vice President - Tax Compliance

About the role

Maples Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead its Tax Compliance team within the financial services division in Dublin. The role focuses on managing Irish corporation tax obligations for a diverse portfolio of funds and special purpose vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all corporation tax compliance matters for the Tax Compliance team.
• Prepare and review Irish corporation tax returns for funds, aircraft leasing vehicles, RMBS and CLO structures.
• Supervise the broader Client Accounting and Tax Compliance team to ensure timely filing and accurate tax payments.
• Manage interactions with Irish Revenue, including handling audits and queries.
• Support billing processes, annual budgeting, and monthly performance reporting to the Executive Management Committee.
• Monitor tax legislation developments and provide training and guidance to team members.

Required profile

• Significant experience in Irish corporation tax compliance, preferably within financial services.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of tax and accounting professionals.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for client and regulator interactions.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Irish corporation tax rules and filing requirements.
• Experience with tax compliance for funds, SPVs, aircraft leasing, RMBS and CLO vehicles.
• Familiarity with Revenue audit processes.
