Associate Director – Indirect Procurement

About the role

The Associate Director, Indirect Procurement will lead sourcing and category management for indirect materials and services supporting the BMS Ireland sites (Cruiserath campus, Plaza 254 & Shannon). Reporting to the site‑based Procurement Lead, the role aligns with global procurement strategy and partners closely with engineering, finance, EHS, manufacturing and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own selected indirect categories and develop strategic category plans in collaboration with global and regional stakeholders.
• Design and execute risk‑management, spend‑compliance and cost‑saving programs for the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.
• Lead sourcing projects, create and manage RFPs, CDAs, negotiations, contracts and award processes.
• Conduct competitive go‑to‑market events, evaluate offers and recommend optimal solutions.
• Determine appropriate procurement methods and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Prepare contracts or large purchase orders for legal review and approval, including MSAs with key vendors.
• Utilise e‑sourcing tools to drive efficiency across European manufacturing sites.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders, senior leadership and external suppliers.
• Strong collaboration experience with engineering, finance, EHS and manufacturing functions.
• Alignment with global procurement strategies and European site operations.
