Associate Director, Indirect Procurement

About the role

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director to lead indirect procurement for its Ireland sites, including the Cruiserath campus, Plaza 254 and Shannon. The role partners closely with engineering, finance, EHS, manufacturing and global procurement teams to deliver strategic sourcing and cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own selected indirect material and service categories and develop strategic category plans.
• Create and execute risk‑management, spend‑compliance and cost‑avoidance programs for the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.
• Lead sourcing projects, issue RFPs, CDAs, negotiate contracts and manage awards.
• Prepare competitive go‑to‑market events, evaluate offers and recommend optimal solutions.
• Determine appropriate procurement methods and apply best practices.
• Draft and issue contracts or large purchase orders for legal review and approval.
• Develop master service agreements and contracts with key vendors.
• Utilize e‑sourcing tools to streamline procurement processes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders, senior leadership and suppliers.
• Strong alignment with site operations and global procurement strategies.
• Experience working in a regulated, high‑growth pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
