Associate Practitioner – Histology (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Eurofins Biomnis Ireland is seeking an Associate Practitioner to join its Histology Laboratory in Sandyford, Dublin. This is a two‑year fixed‑term position with the possibility of extension, offering a supportive environment for professionals who enjoy solving laboratory issues and wish to develop their expertise in a medical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to record and track specimens.
• Perform histology processing tasks under direct, indirect or remote supervision as defined by the Chief Biomedical Scientist.
• Prepare tissue samples, embed, section, and stain according to standard protocols.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout all laboratory activities.
• Collaborate with senior histologists and report any technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Organised professional with a strong attention to detail.
• Enjoys troubleshooting and seeing tasks through to completion.
• Motivated to grow experience within a laboratory or medical environment.
• Willing to undertake training and development opportunities provided by the employer.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
