Associate Scientist – Clinical Release & Stability

About the role

The Associate Scientist will support the Global Clinical Release & Stability team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Based in Cork, the role focuses on coordinating laboratory batch release, clinical reference materials, and stability programs for drug substances and products.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate activities related to laboratory batch release and clinical reference materials.
• Manage stability programs, including inventory, chambers, and sample distribution.
• Perform daily routine sample management using LIMS Stability Module.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory guidelines.
• Record laboratory data in accordance with cGMP and conduct data review.
• Develop and maintain subject‑matter expertise, write/revise SOPs, and support investigations.
• Train and coach new personnel and contribute to lean improvement projects.

Required profile

• 3rd level qualification in a science‑related discipline.
• Industry experience in a GMP laboratory is essential.
• Knowledge of laboratory sample management and stability preferred.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
