Audit Manager I

About the role

The Audit Manager I will lead audit engagements in Dublin, ensuring that internal controls are robust and compliant with professional standards. You will work closely with business stakeholders to plan, execute, and report on audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit work according to established audit plans and standards.
• Execute testing of controls, including walkthroughs, test script development, and issue management.
• Prepare audit planning memoranda, process risk and control matrices, findings grids, and audit reports.
• Perform L1 reviews and sign‑off on audit deliverables such as walkthroughs, test results, and evidence uploads.
• Contribute to audit planning, risk assessments, and program development for specific audits.
• Manage ongoing communication with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Present independent audit opinions and recommendations to management.
• Follow up on findings from regulatory and internal audits in line with firm policy.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise, identify key risks, and recommend control improvements.
• Develop complex reporting and analysis at functional or enterprise level.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit or related financial assurance roles.
• Strong understanding of audit standards, risk assessment, and control testing methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on emerging audit trends.
