AWS Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our data team and help build the foundation for SoSafe’s data‑driven future. You will design, implement and operate data pipelines that power our cybersecurity products, analytics and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform components on AWS.
• Implement ingestion and serving workflows using Airflow, event‑driven patterns and Kafka.
• Enhance platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, CI/CD improvements and Terraform‑based infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Product Engineering and ML teams to deliver reliable datasets, event schemas and data contracts.
• Support internal teams by troubleshooting pipelines, resolving data issues and operationalising new use cases.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and document solutions for long‑term maintainability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong hands‑on skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Airflow, dbt and Kafka.
• Practical exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in a shared platform environment and handling operational work.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English.
