Lead Mobile App Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mobile App Developer to drive the design and delivery of high‑quality Android and iOS applications for a global customer base. Based in Ireland and working remotely, you will combine hands‑on coding with technical leadership to shape the mobile product roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Define technical strategy, architecture patterns and coding standards to ensure scalable, reliable, high‑performing solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor team members on best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and backend engineers to deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Integrate external APIs, data sources and third‑party SDKs into mobile apps.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and monitor live performance for continuous optimization.
• Resolve complex technical issues and support debugging efforts.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive engineering excellence.
• Strong passion for building high‑quality, user‑focused mobile products.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java for Android development.
• Swift for iOS development.
• Mobile architecture patterns such as MVP, MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Unit testing, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• RESTful API integration and third‑party SDK integration.
• Performance optimization and code‑level profiling.
• Comprehensive code review practices.
