Azure Cloud Build Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Azure Cloud Build Engineer to join our Software Engineering team on a 6‑month contract. You will design, build and optimise modern cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, working closely with development, infrastructure and security teams in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and optimise Terraform modules for repeatable deployments.
• Create and manage end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, primarily with Jenkins.
• Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability.
• Configure Azure networking, including Virtual Networks and ExpressRoute.
• Deploy, monitor and manage containerised workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and pipeline issues.
• Embed security best practices across cloud and DevOps processes.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, mentoring and supporting team members.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid background building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
• Experience with AKS/Kubernetes and Azure networking components.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems in a cloud environment.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting (3 days onsite in Dublin).
