Backend Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while designing and implementing scalable software solutions that support high‑impact products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using best‑practice coding and architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience writing optimized, scalable code.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across time zones.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with relevant software development frameworks and libraries.
