BDR Manager – Startup Leadership Role

About the role

This high‑impact leadership position is responsible for driving pipeline generation and shaping the revenue engine of a fast‑growing startup in Dublin. You will lead a team of Business Development Representatives, coach them to exceed targets, and continuously improve outbound performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of BDRs to surpass meeting and pipeline goals.
• Design and refine outbound strategies across key verticals and ideal customer profiles.
• Set and monitor clear KPIs, conversion metrics, and conduct structured coaching sessions.
• Implement best‑in‑class outbound processes, playbooks, and cadences.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimise pipeline quality.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and ramp‑up of new BDRs.
• Track and improve metrics such as activity levels, meeting conversion, show rates, SQL quality, and overall pipeline contribution.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of sales experience with a strong outbound focus.
• 1‑3+ years of experience managing or mentoring BDR/SDR teams.
• Proven track record of boosting team performance and pipeline generation.
• Strong coaching ability, comfortable running call reviews and performance 1:1s.
• Deep understanding of outbound metrics and funnel conversion.
• Experience hiring and developing early‑career sales talent.
• High energy, high standards, and a strong leadership presence.
