Building Construction Lecturer (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

Griffith College’s Faculty of Design seeks a part‑time Lecturer to deliver the Building Construction module (5 ECTS) for the BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture. The role involves teaching both on‑site and online, guiding students through detailed building and interior design, statutory compliance, and technical detailing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver learning material for the Building Construction module.
• Facilitate student trips, site visits and practical workshops.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and research activities.

Required profile

• Level 9 qualification or equivalent in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Interior Architecture or related field.
• Proven teaching excellence and ability to support curriculum development.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of statutory building requirements and technical detailing of interiors.
• Understanding of integrated building services and sustainable design.
• Ability to create clear technical drawings and annotations.
