Business Development Executive – Commercial

About the role
As a Business Development Executive in the Commercial area, you will join Allianz Ireland’s Sales & Distribution team, working primarily remotely with occasional visits to the Elm Park office in Dublin. You will own a broker portfolio across Dublin and Leinster, driving growth, retention and aligning activities with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Identify growth and retention opportunities within your broker portfolio and support brokers in placing and renewing business.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with Allianz Ireland’s overall strategy, setting clear targets and monitoring progress.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key brokers, acting as their trusted point of contact.
- Conduct performance reviews of broker relationships and analyse broker data to spot trends, risks and opportunities.
- Represent the Allianz brand, provide market feedback and drive continuous improvements in customer experience.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Insurance (Commercial).
- CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) qualification.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and retention goals.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
- Full driving licence.
