Business Development Executive

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing software solutions provider, is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to lead new‑business generation across Ireland and the UK. This fully remote position offers high autonomy, uncapped earnings and the chance to shape the company’s market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Ireland and the UK.
• Engage prospective customers through outbound outreach, networking and referrals.
• Build relationships with business owners and key decision‑makers.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to negotiation and close.
• Understand customer requirements and present suitable software solutions.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and prepare proposals and quotations.
• Keep accurate records in the CRM system.
• Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling SaaS, ERP or other business software to SME and mid‑size organisations.
• Track record of consultative, relationship‑led sales in sectors such as retail, distribution, manufacturing or wholesale.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with any of the following software solutions: Intact, EFACS, Exchequer, Kerridge, Epicor, Infor, Acumatica, SYSPRO, Pegasus Opera, Odoo.
