Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for managing the full purchase order lifecycle, from reviewing requisitions to maintaining accurate records in SAP and related databases. This role ensures timely processing of orders, stock transfers and returns while collaborating closely with logistics, warehouses and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions and SAP purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
• Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting purchase order issues, including price adjustments and quantity corrections.
• Maintain up‑to‑date purchase order records and related databases, including OTV systems.
• Process stock transfer orders (STO) and return material authorisations (RMA), ensuring timely completion.
• Coordinate with logistics and internal teams on import/export customs to support compliant shipments.
• Track and expedite incoming shipments, resolving receiving issues promptly.
• Obtain serial number details from warehouses and arrange shipments to suppliers as needed.
• Support small projects and cross‑functional improvement initiatives related to the purchase requisition‑to‑order process.
• Participate in testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for procurement or SAP changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or buying with hands‑on responsibility for purchase requisitions and orders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to address order and receiving issues.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across functions and with external partners.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.

Required skills

• SAP (creation, update and maintenance of purchase orders and related data).
