Buyer – Purchasing Team

About the role

Moog is looking for a Buyer to join its Purchasing Team in Carrigaline. The role ensures that materials required for production are available on time, at the best price and quality, supporting both existing and new product lines. You will work closely with suppliers, engineering, program management and internal operations to meet customer delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase goods and services optimizing cost, quality and lead‑time.
• Process purchase requisitions, raise purchase orders and monitor supplier delivery dates.
• Expedite urgent orders to achieve a delivery target of >98 %.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support new part introduction by setting up accurate purchasing data.
• Maintain accurate records, including quotes, purchase order copies, NDAs and vendor assessments.
• Provide weekly task reports and assist in supplier performance reviews.
• Identify and deliver cost‑saving projects across direct and indirect spend.
• Support cost estimates, quotations and new development projects.
• Ensure compliance with Moog purchasing policies, ethics, trade regulations and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in electronics within an MRP/ERP environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or design setting operating under ISO 9001 or EN/AS 9100 certification.
• Positive, flexible attitude with the ability to prioritize workload and see tasks through to completion.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with proven time‑management ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with suppliers, team members and stakeholders.
