Buyer / Sourcing Specialist – Dublin

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Buyer / Sourcing Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end sourcing of products for high‑tech manufacturing environments such as pharma, med‑tech, semiconductor and life‑science companies. The role sits at the centre of supplier selection, pricing and delivery, with direct impact on cost, supplier performance and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own sourcing requests from internal sales teams and external customers.
• Identify and qualify the right suppliers quickly, beyond the standard supplier list.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms that drive measurable savings.
• Resolve technical sourcing challenges where speed and accuracy are critical.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships that improve service and cost.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage tenders and support supplier selection decisions.
• Collaborate closely with sales, operations and technical teams to keep projects moving.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or buying.
• Comfortable working with technical or industrial products such as MRO, electrical components or spares.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to push suppliers for better terms.
• Fast thinker who can work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
