Category Marketing Manager

About the role

The Category Marketing Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of defined category campaigns, product launches and trading initiatives. Working within an integrated category plan, you will translate strategy into detailed briefs, activation plans and ensure high‑quality execution on time and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Own planning and delivery of allocated category campaigns, launches and trading initiatives.
• Develop clear briefs, activation plans, milestones and success metrics.
• Manage the full lifecycle from briefing and creative development through activation and post‑campaign review.
• Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams across Buying, Merchandising, Digital, CRM, Brand, Creative, Media, Social, Retail and Analytics.
• Maintain alignment on customer objectives, product priorities, timelines and channel requirements.
• Monitor product priorities, stock position, customer demand and trading performance to align campaign execution.
• Identify tactical opportunities to strengthen demand and recommend adjustments based on performance data.
• Ensure consistent and compelling customer experience across all touchpoints and protect brand messaging.
• Track delivery and performance against KPIs, using data to optimise campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing category‑focused marketing campaigns, product launches and trading initiatives.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with experience using performance data to drive optimisation.
• Excellent decision‑making skills and ability to escalates material risks promptly.
