About the role

Parentline, Ireland's national helpline for parents, is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to guide the organisation into its next phase. This senior, hands‑on position offers full autonomy to shape strategy, represent the charity publicly, and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategic direction and day‑to‑day operations of the charity.
• Serve as the public face of Parentline, building relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the media.
• Oversee service delivery, volunteer coordination (over 60 volunteers), fundraising initiatives and communications.
• Work closely with the Board to ensure good governance and financial sustainability.
• Champion the mission of providing free, confidential support to parents across Ireland.

Required profile

• Warm, values‑driven leader with a passion for supporting families.
• Proven experience in senior management, preferably within the non‑profit or charitable sector.
• Strong people‑management skills and ability to inspire volunteers and staff.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
