Chief Risk & Compliance Officer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing international fintech organisation that is looking for a Chief Risk & Compliance Officer to join its senior leadership team. This strategic role will shape the global risk and compliance framework, ensuring robust governance and regulatory adherence across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall Risk & Compliance strategy for the organisation.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, AML/CTF controls, and financial crime prevention.
• Manage regulatory relationships, licensing matters, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide oversight across operational, technology, resilience, and compliance risks.
• Support business growth and expansion into new markets from a regulatory perspective.
• Deliver risk reporting and governance updates to executive leadership and board committees.
• Promote and embed a strong risk‑aware culture across the business.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Risk & Compliance teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Risk & Compliance within financial services.
• Strong fintech and/or payments industry background.
• Experience operating in highly regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of AML/CTF, governance, consumer protection, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage directly with regulators and board‑level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder‑management capability.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic decision‑making skills.
