Civil Engineering Site Manager – Large‑Scale Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager to lead subcontractors on high‑value civils and data‑centre projects across the UK. The role focuses on delivering projects worth £150‑200 million on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Select, appoint and manage civils subcontractors for flagship projects.
• Set performance expectations, monitor progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Implement and enforce rigorous quality control and continuous improvement measures.
• Collaborate with the project management team to track budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and control expenditure.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and resolve construction‑related issues promptly.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting milestones, challenges and solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience managing civils subcontractors on large‑scale construction projects (£100‑150 million+).
• Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Health and Safety certification such as NEBOSH is a plus.
