Community Fundraiser – Leinster South

About the role
The Irish Cancer Society is seeking a Community Fundraiser for Leinster South to act as the public face of the charity in local communities. This full‑time, home‑based position (35 hours/week) covers maternity leave and involves engaging businesses, schools and volunteer groups to raise funds for cancer patients and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit new supporters and volunteers and inspire them to meet fundraising targets.
- Provide ongoing support and stewardship to retain existing donors and volunteers.
- Identify, approach and secure new community fundraising partnerships.
- Represent the Society at public events, conveying its impact locally and nationally.
- Collaborate with the Community Fundraising Manager to implement the regional fundraising strategy.
Required profile
- Self‑motivated, innovative and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interest in community engagement and making a difference.
- Experience in customer relations, account or project management, business development or digital engagement is advantageous.
