Community Nurse – Home Care for Young Adult

About the role

Dovida is seeking a qualified Community Nurse to provide personalised clinical support to a young adult living at home in Mayo. The role focuses on promoting comfort, communication and participation, enabling the individual to live well in a familiar environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care tailored to the client’s strengths and needs.
• Support daily routines that enhance wellbeing and comfort.
• Assist with communication, engagement and sensory activities.
• Administer medications and follow clinical care plans.
• Operate specialist equipment safely and confidently.
• Collaborate closely with the client’s family and the caregiving team.
• Document care provided and promptly escalate any concerns.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RPHN preferred) with active NMBI registration.
• Person‑centred mindset with a commitment to empowering the client.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a calm, compassionate presence.
• Strong communication skills, including non‑verbal methods.
