Construction Contracts Manager

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale construction and engineering projects from pre‑construction through handover. You will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction while guiding multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver construction projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
- Develop project programmes, construction methodologies, logistics plans and execution strategies for pre‑construction and delivery phases.
- Lead and collaborate with Site Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, subcontractors and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality management systems and contractual obligations.
- Manage project risk, design coordination, document control and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, implement corrective actions and report on programme and commercial performance.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, performance management and coordination.
- Support cost control, review expenditure, monitor financial performance and protect contractual entitlements.
- Drive project commissioning, practical completion, defect management, final accounts and client handover.
- Promote continuous improvement, lessons learned and a high‑performance project culture.
Required profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large‑scale construction or civil engineering projects with responsibility for programme, commercial performance and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, project planning and risk management.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting project financial management and contractual compliance.
