Construction Quality Manager – School Projects

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Construction Quality Manager to oversee the quality of primary and secondary school construction projects across Ireland. Working within the site supervision and project delivery team, you will ensure that all works meet contract documents, specifications and relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor on‑site construction activities and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections, maintain records and prepare quality reports.
• Review contractors’ inspection and test documentation and manage non‑conformances.
• Support project handover, snagging and completion inspections.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality matters.
• Liaise with contractors, design teams and client representatives to promote a culture of quality and safety.

Required profile

• Member of the Clerk of Works Institute.
• Proven experience on building construction projects, preferably in the education or public sector.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, record‑keeping and ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Desirable: familiarity with BCAR and Irish construction standards, relevant construction‑related qualification and experience in site supervision or quality inspection roles.
