Controls Engineer – Building Automation (Data Centers)

About the role

The Data Center Global Services team is seeking a Controls Engineer for Construction to design, deploy and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across Amazon data centers in the EMEA region. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑availability, resiliency and safety of building automation infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements and translate them into project scope and specifications.
• Manage scopes of work and coordinate with site‑specific teams to align with design intent.
• Read, interpret and implement technical specifications in the field.
• Develop control‑panel Bill of Materials (BOM) and ISA data sheets for temperature, level, flow and pressure transmitters.
• Deploy, configure and maintain BMS and EPMS platforms in leased and colocation data centers.
• Collaborate with AWS Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) to execute new builds, upgrades and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical or construction engineering.
• Experience in project or construction management within a data‑center or industrial environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
• Strong focus on customer experience and global thinking.
