Controls Technician 2 – Backend Day Shift

About the role

Dexcom is seeking a Controls Technician 2 to join its Backend Day Shift team. The role supports equipment engineers in improving, installing, validating, and transferring custom automated equipment used for scaling manufacturing of Dexcom products. You will work on a 12‑hour day shift schedule with a 4‑on/3‑off – 3‑on/4‑off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist equipment engineers with the improvement, installation, validation, and transfer of custom automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support cross‑functional equipment deployment teams and coordinate with external suppliers to meet specifications and timelines.
• Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, and written plans.
• Test performance of electro‑mechanical assemblies and record results.
• Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment and vision systems in a high‑volume environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with pneumatics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, and robotic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for testing and data recording.
• Comfort working in a high‑volume manufacturing setting.
