Corporate Tax Director – Financial Services

About the role

PwC Ireland is seeking a full‑time, permanent Financial Services Tax Director to lead its corporate tax compliance practice. The role will involve delivering high‑quality tax compliance services to a portfolio of financial services clients, driving operational excellence and embedding digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high‑value financial services client portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate corporate tax compliance.
• Manage and optimise end‑to‑end compliance processes, allocating resources efficiently and leveraging the firm’s technology platforms.
• Shape the long‑term compliance strategy, contributing to innovation, digital transformation and service‑model evolution.
• Own financial, risk and commercial performance of the client base.
• Champion automation, data analytics and emerging technologies within compliance workflows.
• Motivate, coach and develop tax professionals, fostering a high‑performing team culture.
• Participate in talent acquisition, development and retention initiatives.
• Support business development, lead proposal responses and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance for financial services organisations.
