Credit Controller – Customer Account Management

About the role

The Credit Controller will manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment collection while upholding internal credit policies. Working closely with sales teams and senior management, you will engage a high‑volume client base to support cash flow and mitigate credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Open new customer accounts and perform credit checks.
• Set, review, and monitor credit limits in line with policy.
• Build strong relationships to encourage prompt payments.
• Negotiate and implement structured payment plans.
• Investigate and resolve disputed balances.
• Handle internal and external enquiries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate, compliant account records.
• Prepare credit and account reports for senior management.
• Contribute positively to the team environment.

Required profile

• Experience in credit control within a high‑volume environment.
• Ability to work quickly and stay organised.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self‑motivated with the capacity to work independently and as part of a busy team.
