Customer Assistant – Permanent (25-30 hrs/week)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Assistant to join our store team on a permanent basis, working 25‑30 hours per week. You will be the front‑line representative of Tesco, helping customers find products, ensuring a tidy shop environment and supporting the overall store operation.

Key responsibilities

• Put customers first in every interaction and provide friendly, proactive service.
• Maintain product availability and handle merchandise with care to preserve quality.
• Keep the shop floor and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow department routines, company policies and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support colleagues by assisting in other departments when needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about delivering natural, customer‑focused service.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Organised, tidy and presentable at all times.
