Customer Assistant – Permanent 25‑30 hrs

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Assistant to join our Tesco store on Golden Island. This permanent role offers 25‑30 hours per week and focuses on delivering the best possible experience for shoppers. You will be part of a friendly team that values respect, reliability and a proactive attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, answer queries and help them find products.
• Maintain product availability on the shop floor and ensure items are handled with care.
• Keep the store and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow department routines, company policies and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support colleagues in other departments when needed.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
