Customer Delivery Driver – Portlaoise (30 hrs/week)

About the role

Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver in Portlaoise, delivering groceries directly to shoppers' homes. You will be the first point of contact for customers, representing the brand with a friendly and professional attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload the delivery van safely and efficiently.
• Follow the pre‑planned route and schedule to deliver orders on time.
• Present yourself in Tesco uniform and maintain a clean, road‑worthy vehicle.
• Drive responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Greet customers by name, provide a pleasant delivery experience, and handle parcels with care.

Required profile

• Valid Irish or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) held for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and a personable, humorous approach.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
