Customer Solution Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

About the role

KONE is seeking a Customer Solution Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to join its Ireland team. The role provides technical expertise throughout the sales and delivery process, creating lift and escalator solutions that meet customer needs while complying with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Sales team by developing practical, cost‑effective solutions for customers.
• Produce technical specifications, AutoCAD layouts, estimates and delivery schedules for projects.
• Conduct site surveys, assess requirements and design suitable solutions.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, consultants, architects and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and manage project drawings, material specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with KONE supply teams and suppliers to align materials and timelines.
• Support smooth handover of projects to the Operations team.
• Ensure all solutions comply with relevant legislation, safety standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills and ability to interpret customer requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (explicitly mentioned).
• SAP (advantageous).
