Data Analyst / Data Engineer – AI & Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Data Analyst / Data Engineer to join our growing technology team on a long‑term contract basis. The role sits at the intersection of data analytics, data engineering and AI, helping the team measure and improve the impact of its technical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret data to assess product, system and initiative performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and data‑science teams to define measurement strategies.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure for extraction, processing and analysis.
• Pull data from source systems, transform it, and deliver actionable insights.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, analysis and problem‑solving.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Identify data gaps and recommend solutions within a cost‑conscious environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data analytics, data engineering or a blend of both.
• Proficiency in Python and hands‑on experience with AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL and AWS S3.
• Track record of building or selecting data infrastructure independently.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to support data‑related work.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on approach with a focus on cost‑effective solutions.
