Data Engineer – Python & SQL (Hybrid, Letterkenny)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Letterkenny delivery centre. You will design, build and operate reliable data extraction and processing pipelines using Python and SQL to support analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python for data transformation and automation.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and optimise performance across relational databases.
• Integrate data from structured and semi‑structured sources into unified data models.
• Collaborate on large‑scale architectural migrations and modernisation initiatives within an Agile environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise data pipelines for reliability and performance.
• Document data models, workflows and engineering processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience building Python‑based ETL solutions and working extensively with SQL.
• Strong background in relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
