Data Integration Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Integration Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust data solutions that enable reporting, analytics and data‑driven decision making. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration pipelines and visualisation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable data integration solutions across structured and unstructured sources.
• Develop, maintain and optimise ETL pipelines to ensure accurate and efficient data processing.
• Create and manage data models that support business intelligence, reporting and analytical needs.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Monitor data processing environments, resolve performance issues and improve reliability.
• Apply controls to maintain data quality, integrity, accuracy and security.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for data models, workflows and integration processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, data integration or a related role.
• Strong experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data integration pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric (or comparable cloud data platform).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of data‑warehousing principles, data modelling and data management practices.
• In‑depth knowledge of Power BI, including performance optimisation for large datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Flexibility to provide occasional out‑of‑hours support for critical incidents.
