Day Activities Facilitator – Support People with Intellectual Disabilities

About the role

Corlann Limerick is seeking enthusiastic Day Activities Facilitators to join our team in Limerick City. You will work directly with individuals who have intellectual disabilities, including autism, helping them enjoy meaningful daily experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver person‑centred activity programmes that match individual abilities and interests.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of service users.
• Support participants in community outings, social interactions and skill‑building activities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning and review meetings.
• Apply conflict‑resolution techniques and promote inclusive participation.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification relevant to intellectual disability services or a QQI Level 5 Major Award in community development, health or education.
• Full manual driving licence valid on Irish roads.
• Understanding of HSE’s New Directions Standards for Day Services and person‑centred planning.
• Positive attitude, reliability and a commitment to equality and inclusion.

Required skills
