Day Service Instructor / Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Instructor/Supervisor to join our day‑service team in Bray. The role involves supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve personal goals, develop life‑skills and engage meaningfully in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate a person‑centred approach that respects each client’s wishes, dignity and privacy.
• Promote and protect client rights while encouraging participation in community activities.
• Support wellbeing across health, personal care and daily living.
• Teach and reinforce life‑skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and confidence building.
• Identify and develop new interests and meaningful roles for clients.

Required profile

• QQI Level 7 in Social Care (or foreign equivalent validated by QQI).
• Registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board (CORU) or eligibility to register.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.
• Minimum one year post‑qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disability, preferably with complex needs.
• Ability to manage responsive behaviour positively and handle confidential information responsibly.

Required skills

• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in IT and report writing.
• Team‑player who can also work independently.
