Design Director – Graphics for Experiential Events

About the role

We are looking for a Design Director (Graphics) to lead visual storytelling for a European‑based event agency that works with world‑leading brands. You will shape graphic systems that translate brand strategy into compelling, production‑ready visuals across live, experiential and digital environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of graphic concepts for pitches, campaigns and live events, setting visual direction for brand identities, key visuals and motion/social content.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, 3D Designers and Producers to adapt graphics for large‑scale builds, signage, wayfinding, stage design and digital screens.
• Develop presentation‑ready visuals that clearly communicate ideas and differentiate the agency in client pitches.
• Mentor and guide a team of designers, providing feedback and fostering a culture of curiosity and craftsmanship.
• Ensure consistency and high‑quality execution across all outputs, maintaining rigorous standards for typography, layout, colour and material application.
• Work closely with production teams and suppliers to anticipate challenges and adapt designs for print and digital production.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Designer or Design Director within a creative agency, preferably in live events, experiential or branding.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic leadership on large‑scale, brand‑focused projects.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with practical feasibility and brand guidelines.
