Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in a leading manufacturing environment. The role focuses on designing custom tooling, automated systems, and installation equipment while collaborating closely with customers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and installation systems for manufacturing applications.
• Create manual and automated equipment to meet customer and production requirements.
• Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through final delivery.
• Prepare cost estimates and support quotation activities.
• Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
• Review designs for manufacturability, performance and quality standards.
• Coordinate manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support equipment installation and customer acceptance when required.
• Maintain Bills of Materials, product data and engineering records.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within Europe on occasion.
