Desktop Support Technician – Hybrid (B2B Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site and remote IT assistance for office users in Cruiserath, Ireland. The role combines traditional desktop support with audio‑visual equipment handling and works on a hybrid schedule under a B2B contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote technical support for hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
• Maintain and update the asset inventory, tracking all IT equipment.
• Image and refresh computers and related devices to keep them current.
• Troubleshoot common problems such as printer faults, software errors and connectivity failures.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot audio‑visual equipment including projectors, microphones and video‑conferencing systems.
• Support live events by operating AV systems and resolving any technical issues.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex incidents and improve support processes.
• Document support requests, resolutions and equipment maintenance accurately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in IT or AV technology are a plus.
• Proven experience providing IT support in an office environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of audio and video equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and lift equipment up to 50 lb.
