DevOps Engineer – Remote (Ireland)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure for a security‑focused product ecosystem. The role is fully remote and part of an international engineering team based in Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend infrastructure and services, including API gateways and load balancers.
• Develop and enhance product features from design through testing and deployment.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across code, systems and production environments.
• Operate large‑scale server infrastructure and high‑throughput data pipelines.
• Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated, reliable software delivery.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Monitor production performance, identify improvement opportunities and proactively enhance reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve architecture, technical direction and maintainability.
• Support infrastructure modernization initiatives by reducing technical debt and simplifying processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, DevOps engineering or a related technical role.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to solve complex technical challenges in distributed environments.
• Proficiency in at least one high‑level programming language.
• Experience designing and operating backend services with focus on scalability, performance and reliability.
