Director of Global Supplier Quality Management

About the role

The Director of Global Supplier Quality Management leads BioMarin’s enterprise‑wide Supplier Quality Management framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, product quality, and patient safety across the external supply network for GMP/GDP materials.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global Supplier Quality vision and strategy in partnership with Procurement and Technical Operations.
• Oversee the full supplier lifecycle, including qualification, raw material specification, quality agreements, changes, deviations, performance management, auditing, and inspection readiness.
• Collaborate with senior leaders in Quality, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Legal and Procurement to mitigate quality risk and improve supplier capability.
• Drive digital transformation of Supplier Quality through automation, advanced analytics and AI to enable proactive risk identification and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Represent the quality authority for suppliers and materials, ensuring uninterrupted and scalable business operations.

Required profile

• Extensive GxP experience, particularly in GMP/GDP environments.
• Proven senior leadership presence with the ability to influence across a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong track record of implementing risk‑based quality strategies and leading change initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
