Director of Product Management, Developer Experience

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior product leader to shape the strategy and execution of its developer platform in the emerging AI‑driven era. Reporting into the Mastercard Developers organization, the Director will own the vision for agentic tooling, AI‑powered discovery and the commercial model for a new distribution channel. The role works cross‑functionally with product, engineering, marketing and sales to turn ideas into measurable programs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product roadmap for agentic developer tooling, including agent skills, MCP servers, CLI utilities and standards for “agent‑ready” APIs.
• Partner with Mastercard’s strategy and product teams to map the API catalog to AI‑driven use cases, set priorities and create a shared commercial motion.
• Represent Developer Experience in go‑to‑market discussions, influencing packaging, pricing and distribution for the agentic channel.
• Align product, sales and marketing stakeholders around a commercialization hypothesis and pilot it with design partners.
• Establish success metrics for each initiative and implement reporting structures to track outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven product development experience on developer platforms, API products or developer tooling, with a track record of building alongside engineers.
• Deep familiarity with the AI tooling ecosystem and a clear point of view on the future of AI‑assisted coding.
• Experience collaborating with sales or marketing to bring technical products to market (GTM experience is a plus).
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building products from 0 → 1.
• Excellent communicator who can craft strategy documents, run alignment meetings and brief executives.
