Director of Quality

About the role

The Director of Quality will embed a culture of quality excellence across the organisation, ensuring that every product and service meets internal, customer and regulatory expectations. This senior position drives continuous improvement, oversees compliance, and guarantees right‑first‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality management strategies, policies and procedures.
• Oversee all quality assurance and control processes, monitoring metrics to drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, ISO 9001, ISO 1702 and all relevant legislation.
• Coordinate with all departments to maintain high quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify improvement areas.
• Lead, mentor and develop quality teams.
• Facilitate customer visits, FATs, inspections and audits.
• Manage systems for tracking and resolving customer complaints and quality queries.
• Maintain and renew ISO certifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading quality functions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 1702 certification processes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent leadership and team‑development skills.
