Distributed Generation Site Manager – South Region

About the role

ESB is expanding its Distributed Generation portfolio and seeks a Site Manager for the South region to lead the operation and maintenance of solar generation assets. You will be responsible for safe, efficient plant performance and will work closely with service providers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site operations of solar generation assets in the South region.
• Ensure safety and environmental standards are met and maintain plant procedures and policies.
• Provide rapid on‑site response to alarms, faults and events, both during and outside normal hours.
• Conduct fault finding and corrective interventions on electrical, mechanical and C&I systems.
• Manage contractors and service providers, including inductions and work authorisations.
• Administer compliance with ESB Safety Rules and support safety leadership.
• Support optimisation of O&M life‑cycle and asset management planning.
• Lead planned and unplanned site outages and assist with mobilisation of new assets.
• Participate in ad‑hoc O&M projects and support other Site Managers as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years hands‑on O&M experience in power generation or a related process industry.
• Technical or engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or Control & Instrumentation) or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of generation equipment and proven fault‑finding ability.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and compliance record.
