Driver & Yard Warehouse Operative

About the role

Join a busy Dock Road branch of a leading builders merchant in Limerick as a Driver & Yard Warehouse Operative. You will be responsible for moving building materials safely, supporting deliveries, and keeping the yard and warehouse organised to provide excellent service to local customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the branch pickup truck to deliver building materials to customers.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring goods are secured and handled correctly.
• Pick customer orders accurately and assist with loading vehicles.
• Support stock control activities such as cycle counts and stock‑taking.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the yard, warehouse and shop floor.
• Collaborate with transport and internal sales teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Full clean Category B driving licence (essential).
• Valid forklift licence or certificate with practical yard experience.
• Previous experience handling building‑materials stock is highly advantageous.
• Positive attitude, good communication and basic computer literacy.
