About the role
The Emergency Medicine Registrar will join the busy CUH Emergency Department, providing comprehensive care across adult, paediatric, resuscitation, ambulatory and observational streams. The successful candidate will start on Monday 13 July 2026 and will be part of a nationally recognised trauma and acute care centre.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver acute emergency care to adult and paediatric patients in a high‑volume department.
- Participate in pre‑hospital support activities, including rapid response car deployments and tele‑medicine advice for advanced paramedics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital’s integrated acute specialties.
- Contribute to the department’s teaching and research missions as part of the primary teaching hospital for University College Cork.
Required profile
- Medical qualification with eligibility for registrar training in Emergency Medicine.
- Commitment to start on the specified date and to work within a fast‑paced, tertiary‑care environment.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and academic activities.
